Study in Gravity

General / 14 November 2025

Hello ArtStation, I'm finally here 🌙✨

This is my very first post — and honestly, I couldn't think of a better moment to say “hi” than in the middle of a dream-in-progress.

My name is [SUNlishA], I'm an oil painter, a storyteller… and also the full-time mum of two very lively boys (they are my daily gym, my rhythm keepers, and sometimes my tiny art critics).

Most of my paintings happen after bedtime — literally.💭 When the house goes quiet, and the universe finally gives me 2–3 hours of creative oxygen, I paint.🎨 It’s a slow, steady, imperfectly human process — and I’ve recently started sharing it through global livestreams.

🎬 The Project I'm Painting For

Right now, I am creating a diptych oil series for our studio’s upcoming animation season —《mynaOO: Back to Earth · Season 4 — The Vocational Age》

A few days ago, I completed Part I of the diptych after seven livestream sessions. And I’m now halfway through Part II, still live-streaming my process, brushstroke by brushstroke.(Yes, fatigue is real, but so is magic.)

🖼️ Part I — “Study in Gravity”

Here’s the first finished piece. It tells the story of a girl who returned from the artificial star “ArtiMoon” to study classical horsemanship at a royal riding school in London —before she learns to fly again. 📎 Oil on canvas, 2025

This painting is about learning the weight of the Earth again,
about discipline, gentleness, and the poetry of starting over with both feet on the ground.

🖼️ Part II — “Unbound in the Sky” (Work in Progress)

The second painting is where she graduates —and finally rises, riding a horse in the sky, supported by the mynaOO quantum system. It's a bridge between Earth and elsewhere —between gravity and freedom, motherhood and wild imagination.

🎥 And I’m painting it live. You’ll see clouds, kinetic light, and a story that tries to breathe in both worlds.

I’ll share the final reveal when this piece comes to life. For now: you're invited — to watch it unfold, frame by frame.

Thanks for reading. Thanks for being here at the beginning. If you're also balancing art, work and family, I see you —let’s keep making space for things that matter.

Until next brushstroke,— [SUNlishA]
